Terre d’Hermès - Eau de toilette

I love it's dry, woody, close to the earth base. This is earthiness sans loamy, moist sod. The "mineral note" develops beautifully on my skin — sea-salty in hot, humid conditions, and more austere on dryer days. (If you love these smells—heat pulling rain off of wet sidewalks, sunwarmed beach sand, rocky terrain cooling off at night—you'll love that mineral note in Terre d'Hermes.) Sometimes the top notes of orange come fully through — rounded and at times overripe, peels and all. Other times, it's mostly cedarwood with a dose of sandalwood and terracotta — with just a hint of orange. I love the EDT, and rarely consider a fragrance beyond the $40 mark full bottle worthy, but this is unquestionable FBW.

This soft, sexy, earthy fragrance is made for man, and turns out to be perfect for this woman: I sat next to someone (a man wearing soft cashmere no less) on the plane, wearing this fragrance. After, I tried many samples on Nordstrom before finally giving myself permission to buy it for daily wear. I actually think there is something unisex about its earthy softness.

I had been looking in all the wrong places but when i finally found it i bought it scent unsmelled because of all the positive things i read. it is now the only scent i wear. while i admit that all the adjectives like 'woodsy' and such don't mean a thing to me what does mean something is how it smells and this smells great. i have tons of colognes that after i spray them on the scent is gone in an hour. and some of these aren't cheap. i can smell this from the moment i spray it on after a shower to getting whiffs of it for the rest of the day. and the amount of compliments i get when i casually great a lovely woman with a light hug has ensured that this is going to be my go to product for a long time. before you spend some outrageous amount on on a cologne do try this one out first.

I tried it in a sample and I thought, oh well it is like all others; but then, I was at the store, and I tried it on and walked around and did some shopping. The cologne was still very nice and not over powering; I couldn't belive it. It was true, this wonderful cologne stayed on and the fragance was and is incredible. I purchased the spray cologne and believe me, everyone was asking "what are you wearing?" I did not like the perfume, it is a little strong for me, but the cologne is simply GREAT.
