this dress will work perfectly for the holiday season as a party/cocktail dress and could also be worn as a dress for work, it is comfortable and the perfect length.

Nice but not for me
I love the design at first glance. But the store did not have my size to try on so the dress was sent to me. Maybe I am such a symmetrical
person, I kept wanting to narrowing one sleeve to match the other. What finally made me return the dress was that it was very very hot. Being wool, I should have known.

Perfect Little (Flattering) Black Dress!
I had been looking for a simple black dress that I could dress down for a lunch/day event or dress up for a nice party/date night. This dress is so flattering and makes you look leaner and longer. It is sophisticated and fashionable, but classic enough I will wear it for along time. I was able to wear the Small and Petite -- decided on the Petite because it had less extra fabric from the draping, which looked better on my petite height.

Could've been 5-star
This dress fit perfectly on me ...except for the large drapey arm holes. I have no desire for everyone to see inside my dress and see my bra. Yes, I could've worn something underneath to cover up my bra but who wants to wear a tank under a form fitting dress?! So disappointed. I know that it won't bother some to have the arm holes so large, but it drives me batty. Too bad, too. It was a great dress otherwise.

simple and chic
this dress is the epitome of Chic. the rouging is perfectly placed and the neckline is sexy. I actually think it drapes nice in person than it does on this model. I'm pretty petite (5'2'', tiny bust, bigger hips) and sized up from a petite to a small. The length was still perfect and everything else fit perfectly. this dress is great b/c you can dress it up or wear with booties (as shown on the model) with a leather jacket. This dress is def. a must have piece if your in to designer pieces that you can transition from occasion to occasion.
I must add that i was a bit apprehensive about it being wool- but this dress is really soft and obviously Helmut Lang does this version exceptionally well!

The only downside to this dress is its sheerness, but a skirt slip would be sufficient to
provide adequate coverage. The drape of the dress is beautiful as is the sleeve configuration.

Sophisticated Style with an Edge
So glad I got this dress!! Fits great, I am petite, I got the small & did not have to alter. Sophisticated style with an "edge". Great to dress up or dress down, perfect to travel with and, living in Seattle, I can wear this dress year round. I always get a lot of compliments when I wear this dress.
