HC Hydratic Padded Trail Jacket

This is a really nice jacket. It's warm and comfortable to wear. I ordered a size large, but had to return it for a medium. The large was way too roomy. I have the Expedition Down Jacket in large and that fits very well, so I had assumed that this would be of similar proportions. After getting the medium, there is still a good amount of room in the jacket, especially the arms, but it would not be a deal breaker. I would absolutely recommend sizing down. I have worn the jacket in light rain without an issue, but I can't speak to its waterproofness. Overall it's a very nice jacket.

Recently bought this to take on a 3 week holiday to Central Europe. Temperatures were in 0-10 degree C range under overcast skies. I wore it every day. Did a good job keeping me warm, looking spiffy and holding lots in a number of pockets. Seems well made. I am 6'-4" and slim I found the large size fit me best (nevermind that size guide recommended XL). There are alot of things going for it. I would not call it waterproof though as it failed to keep my dry on the one cold, rainy day I experienced. A bit disappointed in that respect. Call it water-resistant instead and use an umbrella if you expect more than a short, light rain. I rate it as average given its steep price for what it does and doesn't do (e.g., keep you dry).

I just got this jacket and haven’t worn it outside yet but It’s super warm, comfortable, along with being waterproof and wind proof - like a warm rain coat. Imagine a lighter packable parka. It does run quite large. I’m solidly a medium, I have a lot of Fjallraven sweaters but a medium in this jacket fit me like a large. I exchanged for a small and it fits perfectly.
