We had purchased the Rest baby version for our child a few years ago, and he still uses it as a toddler today. It works like a dream. I was so happy to learn that Hatch now has this version available for grown-ups. And it is truly amazing! Helps me calm down, relax, and ease into pure sleep. And it gets me to sleep fast! Then the sunrise alarm magically wakes me up in the morning without an annoying alarm clock sound. Very happy with this product.

NOT worth it
Yes, the device is appealing. Probably the most appealing alarm clock I have seen. It does have the light feature to wake up, which is nice. BUT, (1) MOST of the sound effects are not available UNLESS you pay their membership, which defeats the purpose of having a device in the first place, especially one that it already is a pricey one. If in addition to the cost of the device you ALSO have to pay a membership to get decent sounds, then, how much is the device going to end up costing you? It's never-ending! Also, I have had mine for about a month and it has had issues turning on 4xs since I have had it. I have to disconnected from the power outlet and THEN it turns on. Also, the main reason why I bought it was because I needed a white noise machine and read somewhere that the Hatch Restore had it, WRONG! It may be available (don't know) if you pay for it, which I refuse to give this company any more money than the money I paid for the device. Also, the options for sounds that it has that are free are lousy and kind of wack. It has 'pink' noise, river, dishwasher, rain, river, campfire and fan, and the music to wake up is equally as lame. It's like Hatch is obligating the customers to pay for a membership to be able to have decent option of sound. Pretty awful, in my opinion. Will be returning. Do NOT recommend Hatch Restore.

Good alarm clock.
It's what I wanted it to be. It's annoying that the app requires a subscription to unlock all of the content. I'm still using the 6 month free trial. I don't know if I'd pay to unlock the rest.

Some pros but would not purchase again
Pros: great sunrise alarm, easy to use, attractive on the nightstand, able to dim or turn off the time display at night. Decent selection of audio in the app, though I wished I could integrate audio from other apps like Insight Timer.
Cons: I really wanted an alarm clock that allows me to stop using my phone in the bedroom. This is not the solution, since you have to use the app to set your alarm and adjust what wind down audio you want. I suppose if I woke up at the same time every day (or even at a consistent time on specific days since it does allow you to program a different wake up time for each day) it would be less of an issue. As others have mentioned, I’m also not keen to start paying for their audio after the 6 month free trial. If I could go back I would probably buy the Loftie or just a regular, old-fashioned manual alarm clock.

The ideal solution for blissful sleep!

life changing!
I love this thing - such an elegant solution for white noise/alarm clock/forming new habits. It was so easy to set up - you control the settings through an app and there are loads of options (so many lighting schemes, sooo many white noise options, meditations, etc). I’ve been using the reading light at night and leaving my phone in the living room - such a wonderful new habit that has really helped me de stress. Can’t say enough about this fun item - GET IT (OR GIFT IT!!)

Love Hatch!
We have a Hatch for my son and when he moved out of our room and into his own room I realized how much I missed the white noise! I was so excited when I saw they made this for adults. It's just as beautiful as the kid products and looks great in my bedroom. Plus, it's got a ton of awesome features that have really helped me sleep better. Tons of sounds, a perfect reading light, meditations, and the best part, a sunrise alarm. I've set it to listen to a great meditation while I fall asleep, then with white noise to stay on that really helps me stay asleep sleep. The light starts to slowly brighten in the morning so I wake up on my own for once! I love this thing and can't recommend it enough.
