Fit & Flare Dress

Very cute dress. I got it in the royal blue. Planing to wear this to work. Living in Florida, we can get away with wearing short sleeves most of the Fall, but if you live in cooler climates you could put a sweater or a blazer over this for work. And of course you could pair it with some black tights and pumps or dress booties. The size 6 fit on the small side, or maybe it's just that it's more of a true size 6 than some brands are these days. And the length is on the shorter side. I'm a bit older, but given my body type and height I can pull off skirts and dresses in a little shorter length, and you can always put on tights with it which makes the length less of an issue. But I am 5'4" and if you're taller and don't like dresses to be too short, you might find this one too short for you.

Meh. I wanted a simple dress with clean lines and classic beauty. And this dress was just sort of "ho-hum" in that regard. Despite the pretty shade of aubergine, I didn't keep it because I didn't like how the knit looked in that color, nor did I like the lines/darting that was more apparent on that color than on some of the darker colors shown online. I wasn't blown away by this piece, even though it otherwise fit true to size and was a good length.
