Details & care
The intricate pattern on our hand-dyed Batik Bandana is crafted by skilled artisans in Indonesia using a 700-year-old batik technique. This bandana is used as a prop to Idina Menzel’s broadway Redwood musical in New York. This bandana is made from white cotton fabric that is then hand-stamped and hand-dyed using 700 years old batik wax and dye technique. The batik fabric is also then sun baked. You should expect some variation of the color. This pattern is called Kawung, named Charcoal Gray Size: approximately 39”x39". Due to the pre-washing process and the use of hot wax and copper stamps in its creation, our bandana may have slight variations in shape, resulting in a non-perfect square. This minor shrinkage is a natural part of the traditional batik process, adding to the uniqueness of each piece. Made with 100% cotton fabric
