An exceptionally soft knit crafted from navy-blue wool makes a warm-weather favorite of a sport coat that's ideal for semiformal and outdoor occasions. Soft construction in the shoulders and a partial lining provide a lightweight, easy-moving fit.

Fabrication: Knit fabric can be made of natural or synthetic fibers and bring a stretchy fit and a softer feel to sport coats, trousers and sometimes suits. Knits have a range of textures, but for formalwear they tend to feature a smoother finish to ensure a crisp look.

The fabric is exceptionally durable yet luxurious with a unique and interesting texture and weave that’s slightly nubby. There is stretch to it affording comfort and it moves with you in an easy way. The fit is soft shouldered and unconstructed yet the coat can be dressed up if desired. I plan to pair it with black jeans or lived-in slightly faded blue jeans; it will also pair nicely with cotton chinos, and lightweight to mid-weight wool trousers. I’ll also wear it with a white broadcloth shirt and tie and contrasting pocket square or a lightweight cashmere polo or even a light blue chambray shirt or a tattersall check or windowpane patterned broadcloth shirt. The blazer is really really really versatile. I also like the understated blueish-brown buttons that meld away. My over-all opinion: I’M SOLD! YES!!!!… it makes me look slimmer and trimmer and inspires me to lose the extra weight! It’s my first Jack Victor and now I’m a RABID fan! I plan to buy more JV sport coats and a suit or two or three when I drop the extra pounds and get back to my “fighting weight”! (I’m a 46 Regular now but I’m normally a 42 Regular.)
