Details & care
This featured gown from the fall '24 runway—and Peter Hawkings's sophomore season—marks the completed transition in the show from the lead-off military-inspired pieces to the sensual, sheer styles the brand has always been known for. The halter-neck style provides provocatively sparse coverage in sheer stretch tulle that's patterned in wide stripes of velvet.

Show-stopping yet Classy Event Gown for Black Tie
Love love love this dress--there is some stretch to the fabric, so it molds nicely and elegantly to your curves. I did use nipple covers but went sans undies as the stripes are perfectly placed to hide all--and when I tried on with a thong, it showed right through. The dress IS lined, so that provides some modicum of shapewear and concealment. The pooled hem looks great in photos, but unless you're planning on remaining poised in one position all night, you may want to have it altered to floor length as I did--I found walking much easier. I did wear Tom Ford croc 4" heels, which provided a parallel look with the leather shoe lines and velvet dress lines. Overall, a classy choice!
