'Terracotta Sunless' Tinted Self-Tanning Gel

I purchased this 3-4 weeks ago, and just love it! The scent is light and lovely...never develops a "self tanner smell". I have a very fair complexion, and don't really want a full tan, as it just doesn't look natural on me. Guerlain's Terracotta Sunless Tinted Self-Tanning Gel gives me the perfect amount of natural looking color. I used it every day after showering for 3-4 days, and then started using it only every second or third day as needed to maintain the color. I have to say I have been very surprised at how long this bottle is lasting, especially since I use it on my arms and legs as well as face, neck and chest...It's very hydrating, too! I've used self-tanners for years, but this is by far the best product I've used.

I have been looking for a bronzer that looks natural and goes on easily. One that doesn't rub off on my clothes and doesn't smell like anything. This is it! This bronzer is expensive but worth every penny. It doesn't take much and looks fantastic. You can make the color darker by re-applying it after the first layer but with one coating it gives you a glow. I will never go without this. A little goes a long way! Love, love, love it!

Honestly I would give this self tanner five stars on the smell alone. IT'S HEAVENLY. I have tried many self tanners from high end to drugstore brands. For the face especially it is my favorite. On my face, neck and chest I noticed a difference right away. The only tiny negative is it doesn't get quite as dark as I would like but it's probably for the best and far more natural looking as is. LOVE.

Let's face it: self tanners are not as good as the real thing but way safer. This one is quite good because the color is not orange or weird at all. The fragrance is nice too. I have tried many self tanners, from the $8 to the $80 varieties and this one is the best in terms of color and ease of application. The sprays can be a nightmare but this one goes where you put it. The color lasts longer than most also. I think it costs too much however. You don't get much in the container in spite of its size.

I enjoyed using this product many years ago, but it wasn't a tinted self tanner. Possibly I just purchased the wrong product, and the old version is still available. I still like this product, but the tint quickly absorbs into my hands. I exfoliate it from my hands with a facial product made to do just that. It works, just not perfectly. I could avoid this by using gloves to spread it on. Not something I want to do, but I'll probably go that route. The color this "Tans," the skin to is pretty, and the tan has longevity. I have numerous self-tanners, and staying power is a problem with some. The ones that last for a while, tend to oxidize to the Oompa Loompa side! This product doesn't oxidize, and that's a huge plus. It does make a brown spot on my face darker, but I haven't found one that doesn't, from drug-store to high end. This is a quality product, my skin feels baby soft after application. I moisturize heavily. Nothing dries out my skin quicker than a self-tanner! This is good product and provides a beautiful color. It's not perfect, but what is?
