Pilar Espadrille Flat (Women)

If you’ve been eyeing the shoes, take the plunge. I was nervous at first, because I thought the shoe might be stiff and uncomfortable. It is not at all! I find Gucci sizing to be inconsistent. I wear a 37 in the ace sneaker and a 38 in the Princetown slipper. I bought the 38 in these and they fit perfect.

Cute and stylish! However, Gucci is inconsistent with their sizing, it's either you go half a size up or down. This one I decided to go 1/2 up and of course it is loose on me, that it folds on the size. So I'd say, true to size. So with that being said I am returning it. I just hope that Gucci will get it together considering this is a pricey piece of shoe. And to Nordstrom, maybe it'll help to put the insole measurement of all your shoe in the description section.

The shoes are gorgeous and well-made; the issue is the sizing. I started out trying a size 8, which is my normal size; they were too tight. I then tried the 8.5, and they practically fit just like the 8. I figured that third time’s a charm, and I went for the 9. A concern from a Nordstrom employee was that the 9 would be too big for me, so she gave me different types of padding to insert inside of the shoe if necessary. With the padding for the front of the shoe, they finally fit comfortably. Without this padding, the shoes would be slightly too big. I gave four stars for the annoying sizing issue; otherwise, these are awesome!

Received as a Mother’s Day gift. Absolutely love the shoe, but had to exchange for larger size. Waited for my Nordstrom store to open, due to COVID-19 to exchange efficiently, but I didn’t mind. Gucci’s sizes are inconsistent. I am a size 40, but in their sneakers, I’m a 39.5. I had to size up to a 41 in these espadrilles, just like the other 2 pair I own. I do have a wider foot and high instep. Once you get the correct size for your foot, you’ll love them. Gucci espadrilles last forever! Very well made. Still wearing a pair that is at least 4 years old!!
