Jordaan Bit Loafer (Women)

The loafers are even better in person! The color is beautiful and universal enough to wear with almost anything. I was concerned about the size. I own a pair of Gucci slides which are 39.5 but 39 in this style worked really well. For reference, I'm a US 8.5 and 39 in most European brands.

I am so in love with the Jordaan loafers! I started out with the Princetown mules, then the Brixton loafers and finally the Jordaan, which is the hands down best of all. First off, let me say that the leather is every bit as soft and comfortable as the Brixton, with the only difference being the fold down heel section, which I will frankly never fold down on the Brixtons. I had "heard" that the Jordaan heel is "too stiff." Nope. It just isn't "baggy" like the Brixtons, but it is in no way stiff or uncomfortable. I have narrow feet which hate most shoes nowadays in terms of comfort. These Jordaans are absolutely perfect in every way and the most comfortable shoe I've even worn right out of the box. Now if only I can find more colors because I am addicted to these.

I'd been lusting after these shoes for over a year, but I have wide feet (size 6D) and had read many reviews that suggested they'd be too narrow and stiff for me. But Gucci Princetowns (the backless, mule version of this shoe, which I have in size 37) are my favorite and most comfortable shoe I own, so I decided to give them a try. Typically I can get away with wearing "standard width" shoes in a half size up, so I initially ordered these online in size 36.5. They were soooo soft and comfortable on my feet, but my left heel slipped out when I walked. I was concerned that size 36 would be too small though and was unsure what to do, so I brought them in to my local store and had a sales associate in the shoe department have a look and give a recommendation. He said they definitely were too large, and ordered them in 36 for me. They were initially a bit of a struggle to put on...I definitely recommend using a shoehorn so you don't damage the heels...but once my feet were inside, it was clear that they were not only the right size lengthwise, but they also felt so soft and accommodating of my wide toe box! Walking around in them a bit on carpet made that even clearer. I was still nervous the first time I wore them out of my home, thinking they might disappoint me like so many shoes have (where they initially seem to fit, but wearing them on an outing results in blisters), but these just seemed to mold perfectly to my feet as I ran my errands that day, and I came home with zero blisters or hot spots! I am utterly delighted with these shoes and so glad I finally gave them a chance -- not only do my feet feel fantastic in them, but they actually make my feet appear narrower, and they have such a classic, timeless look. For my fellow wide footed sisters, I highly recommend checking out Gucci shoes -- I own quite a few styles now (Princetowns, Ace sneakers, Marmont loafers, two styles of sandals, and now these Jordaans), and I have been so pleasantly surprised at how wide foot friendly they are.

I have been wearing Gucci Loafers since my teens, they always look great and are made with such high-quality materials that they never seem to wear out. I was apprehensive about trying this new unframed version, but am so happy I did. They are made of the same wonderful materials as the original and from the first wearing they have been extremely comfortable. They go with skirts as well as pants and I feel stylish and classic at the same time. I am always between a 6.5M - 7M, I ordered the 7M and they fit perfect with or without socks. The red is amazing, but I think these will be beautiful in any color.

Looking at this shoe online I didn’t see any femininity about them but I changed my mind as soon as I took the out of the box. They are cute. They run large on the length but not on the width. I got the 9 1/2 and I have about an extra inch in the toe. But these are comfortable and classy. They will elevate any look for sure.
