Harald Horsebit Platform Loafer (Women)

I also ordered the Gucci Romance loafer, which is almost an identical style but does not have the bee on the back. These loafers, like the Romance, are incredibly heavy. I was looking for an on trend chunky loafer but these are way more chunky in person. The leather is extremely stiff, making them hard to get on and I’m sure there would be sore spots if I were to walk any amount in them. Sizing wise, all my Gucci’s are a 39 and these fit the same for me. I could see where maybe they run just a teency bit small but sizing was not what made them get returned.

I LOVE the style, but I can't wear these shoes two days in a row because they are so stiff and my feet hurt after wearing them.... and it isn't the kind of stiff shoe that will eventually loosen up. That said, I think they will last forever without wearing out as some thinner leather loafer shoes may. And another thing, they are tremendously heavy, which makes them less than great for travel. I tried the similar Prada version and those were so much lighter weight but I prefer the chunkier look of the Gucci. It's a shame I can't wear them more often, I get so many compliments on them; the bee on the back is super cool, and wallpaper'ish interior is a clever style choice.
