Worth the wait!
First-time GG owner here too, so this review is for those waiting/thinking about biting the bullet. Regarding how they look- this pair exceeds expectations. The rose gold is rich and gorgeous in any light, and the leather is “relatively clean” from the top and side views. The scuffs are few and only where they would normally be anyway, so I really didn’t feel like a bought a super dirty pair of shoes (I know that’s the GG idea but i still like things to look clean, which is why I hesitated so long). I also love that it has a slim almond shape in front, very feminine unlike the rounded toe of P448 and Adidas. The fit is great, I am usually 7.5, I got the 38, there’s still some room (0.4”) in front. The comfort- that’s the con here, the footbeds are hard as rock. Compared to my P448s which are super cushy this one made no effort towards comfort, but at least the tongue is very soft so there’s no comfort issue there. I can wear this all day with no problem, nothing hurts anywhere, I just did not expect the absolute lack of cushioning on the footbed. Is it worth the money? Absolutely yes—- but only if you enjoy collecting and mixing high and low fashion- like for example target tops with a luxury bag. Otherwise, I would suggest the adidas sleek leather sneaker, same shape and look (but clean of course and more comfortable) as a white sneaker alternative. However, if you’re ready to buy or are adding to your collection, this rose gold pair is absolutely perfect and should not be missed.
