Midstar Sneaker (Women)

My very first pair of Golden Goose sneakers and I have no regrets! These are by far the most expensive sneaker purchase I have ever made in my life. Being a "heelgirl", I mostly indulge on stilettos and have never allowed myself to be that grounded in my 20's, 30's, and through most of my 40's. As of late, I have been particularly interested in investing in some high-quality, designer kicks that I wouldn't mind trading my favourite heels for once in a while. After much pondering and research, I decided on some GG Superstars. I am a small size EU 34 or US 4 and found these to be a bit long on my feet. This did not surprise me, as I usually purchase children's size 2 sneakers to fit my petite size. So, I stuffed insoles in and stuck heel tabs at the counters. These hacks usually work for heels, but not for sneakers! I found them to be even more ill-fitting with all that stuffing and a pair of socks to boot! So, I removed all the extras and just slipped my bare feet into the beautiful calf leather insole and interior and laced them up snugly. Voila! For some strange reason, they fit much, much better right out of the box. I realized that the laces had to be tightened a bit to hold my foot in. The quality is superb; they really are a luxurious sneaker. The deliberate distressing, fine stitching, and unique, but subtle details that signify the Golden Goose brand all really speak to a great sneaker. I have read that some people have found quality issues with their purchases. I don't see how soles and glue would be coming apart for such an expensive sneaker, albeit these reviews were far and in-between. I love the lifted wedge insole and the sleek design! I am already thinking of my next Golden Goose purchase!

first pair of midstars, have 3 other pairs of superstars that I love.....but these...obsessed. Nice light neutral color way...instantly comfy like right out the box...so glad I snagged them. perfect distressing, I've had other styles sent that were just too destroyed looking, like super ashy....these are like perfection for me. and I love the ankle height...in love. I'm true size 8.5. size 9 always works in GGs for me.......get em!

Awesome color combo!! I’m a size 11/12 (depending on the brand) with small ankles and Golden Goose is the only brand of sneakers I’ve found that don’t make me look like I’m wearing small boats on my feet. They somehow minimize what other shoes amplify. This is my first pair of mid-stars and I love the height and extra cushion at the ankle. The leather is like butter and the slight lift in the insole makes them beyond comfortable.
