Hi Star Platform Sneaker (Women)

I was eyeing these online and made a trip to the store to run some errands. Definitely didn’t think I was going to be dropping a pretty penny on these shoes but I made the mistake of trying them on. I fell in love. They run true to size. However, the toe box was a bit shallow so the kind Nordstrom lady helped to lift it for me which made them super comfortable.

Finding the right GG sneakers took a lot of work. I am a size 38 1/2. Since GG doesnt come in half sizes I ordered a 39. After wearing them twice, my heel slipped out of the shoes, and both shoes had a bulge on the inside (the leather stretched). Since I liked wearing my sneakers untied, I sized down and ordered a size 38. When the shoes arrived I was not happy with the way the sole was irregular and esthetically unpleasing at the meeting point(uneven and excess rubber coming out). Also I noticed excess "paint" on the sides that would just come off when scratched with the nail. I understand the shoes are handmade, but for the amount of $$ I expected better. so I ordered another pair and this one was IT for me. I am still not used to the wedge insole and looking to try a regular one hopeful it will make me want to wear the sneakers as for now they are just décor. from all the GG color combos I've seen, this is my fave!

I was looking to get the black platform GG sneaker but tried these on just to see which size fit better, since Nordstrom only had the black ones online. I ended up getting these because the green on the back and the glittery star were so cute! They add a little bit of flash and luxe to shorts or jeans. Although I usually wear a size 8, I opted for the size 39 because my Bombas socks are thick and I wanted the extra room for a slip-on sneaker option. An added bonus is that my boyfriend bought them for me for my upcoming bday! I may still end up buying the black ones.
