What it is: A candle wick trimmer to care for your candle and make it last.

What it does: An expert accessory that lets you regularly trim the wick of your Diptyque candle, thereby ensuring that it burns optimally and smokelessly throughout its usage. The design is inspired by the Diptyque oval, making it a perfect companion for each perfumed ritual. It helps prevent the candle from smoking, preserving the quality of scented moments.

How to use:Start by extinguishing the flame of your candle. Then use the wick trimmer to recenter the wick. Once the candle has cooled, trim the wick to a length of 3 to 5 mm.

you have to cut the wick while hot

The person who wrote the one star review probably didn’t trim the wick while it was hot. This tool only works right after you snuff the flame out. While the wick is hot, the tool will easily trim the wick. Hope this helps!

Does not trim only bends the wick

I purchased this because it’s so pretty and that’s about its only redeeming qualities. The space between the actual scissor area is too wide and didn’t meet up at any point as it comes together so it only bent the wick instead of trimming it off. I returned mine.
