Finally - help for fragile nails
This glass nail file is exactly what I was looking for. It’s so much easier on my frail, fragile nails. I’ve now bought four and stashed them around the house and car and will most probably buy a couple more. But - I found out quickly that GLASS means that if you drop it, it breaks.

The file you’ve been looking for
If you’ve tried glass files in the past and have been disappointed, this is the one for you. It is gentle but effective. If you’re looking for something better than a new emery board in a similar grit, this will leave you wanting. Glass files aren’t better 1 to 1 in use. But, this is still gentler on the nails and reusable indefinitely. The shard point is good for gently pushing back cuticles, too. It is glass, so be gentle with it — especially when storing it. It is shorter than I imagined, but that doesn’t bother me.

much better than any other file
I’ve been using this for a week and am on this site now to order three more to stash in purses etc. It’s made a big difference already in stemming the splitting

Too Fine For Me
I have thin, easily chipped and split nails, so I was surprised that I didn't like this file. I suppose it could be used as a last, final step in my manicure, but I have a buffing file that is better for that.
