Gingham Tie Front Quilted Jacket

I purchased this jacket in two sizes (Med/Lrg), medium was a better fit. I am 5’10”, short waisted with long legs (size 8-10; 34D; 33 inseam) and found this to be a bit too cropped. I tend try a large time to time for extra length. If looking for something cute to throw on to warm up you can expect a breeze around your back and waist. I looked forward to receiving after finding New Balance 327’s in the same gingham. Now for the design flaw, this only looks cute tied closed with bows, with the jacket open there are six long ties hanging down to your past your hips and looks ridiculous. If this was 3-4 inches longer and had a decorative frog toggle it could be adorable. The design interferes with the ability to have a seamstress make this modification easily. In terms of the fit, it is very boxy but I feel that once this is washed it will soften to a relaxed fit.
