x Hi Sugarplum! Cavallo Ruffle Neck Date Dress

Love the fabric and style of this dress but it was way too tight across the bust for me. Had the same problem with the last collection. If I order a size up then the dress overall is just way too big. Please take bust size into account with the next collection.

I wear a size 0/2 and ordered the xs dress in Chili Pop. The color and print is absolutely gorgeous, as is the ruffled collar and tie at the back of the neck. I’m 5’5 and the dress came a little above the knees. Now the sad downside. From waist down there is too much fabric to where my frame is overwhelmed and not at all figure flattering; a bit tent-like even. I almost think the fabric in the pockets just adds too much extra material and therefore the volume around the hips is ridiculous. And I have narrow hips to begin with. I’ve tried the dress on several times hoping my previous assessments were inaccurate, but I keep coming up with a sad “nope, not for me.”

I’m 5’7” 155lbs with a soft and bumpy middle and hip section and full chest. I look for pieces that hide the problem areas without looking shapeless. I typically take 8 tops and 10 bottoms. I bought the Medium and this dress delivers. As other reviewers said, the chest area is snug, but not too tight for me, especially with a thinly lined strapless bra. I also agree with other reviewers about the pockets—they are unflattering and cheapen the dress. I’m giving 4 stars only because I will pay to alter and have the pockets removed. That said, I bought it in three colors. Throw a collarless black blazer over it with your hair up and the bow peaking out the back of the neck. So cute for work!

This dress is beautiful! The fabric is thick and it's lined, so it feels really good on. The top across the shoulder area is a touch tight on me (I'm in the process of losing weight so eventually it will be fine). Truly stunning piece!

Love this dress! Comfortable fit without looking sloppy. Easy to dress up or dress down. I am planning on wearing it to a wedding in August.

Very cute dress! I usually wear XS but I ordered XXS in this dress since it does run large. By sizing down it’s much better fitting. Looks great with a denim jacket and wedges!
