How to use: Use on dry hair. For modern waves or an undone textured look, make sure the size of your section is no larger than the width of the barrel. Split hair into sections and curl one side at a time. Wrap hair around barrel, making sure to not overlap hair. Hold for five to eight seconds, depending on your hair type.
Pro tips: For a sleek and glamorous look, curl all sections of hair in the same direction. For a more volumized look, alternate wrapping sections of hair towards and away from the face to create curls that bounce off each other. Use a ghd detangling comb (sold separately) to soften curls.

I wish it worked
Let me start off by saying, I LOVE my GHD tools- I have 3 GHD devices and never reach for my T3 because it just doesn't deliver the same results. I have long, thick wavy hair, and was so excited to add this Curling Wand to my collection because of the effortless waves it provided in the videos; Unfortunately, it did not work for me. I watched the tutorials, prepped my hair, even tried curling over the same section multiple times to convince myself to keep the device. This one hurts to return.

Great tool, but maybe not for my hair
The jury is still out on this. It’s a truly original hair tool, and so well made. I’m just not sure if it’s right for me. I have just-below-the-shoulder, very fine hair. I can get big beachy waves as I curl, but as soon as I finger comb, they fall out into a barely-there texture that may not be worth the 15 minutes it took to style. Maybe the barrel is too wide for my hair type/style? I’m going to try their creative curl wand next. I’m happy to have this classic wave wand, but there is definitely a learning curve for me. I’ve been experimenting with various products to help hold the wave, but have trouble finding a way to keep the wave intact without my hair looking matte and dry. I think this wand may be better for long VS model type hair.

Overpriced for what you get
I don’t think this is a great wand for shoulder length hair, nor do the curls stay for long. I give it two stars because in the first hour, the curls looked nice on my daughter who has very long hair, but they do not last.

It’s alright
I really wanted to be wowed for the price point. I was impressed with how quickly it heats up, but there is only one heat setting. My hair didn’t end up looking like the models, but it was a look I can’t get with my other tools. It’s not my go to iron, but decided to keep it around.
