After trying Dry Bar and T3 staying with GHD
I originally purchased the Drybar Buttercup blow dryer. I did like it, the color was fun, wasn't too heavy and did what I thought was a good job. After 8 months I went to use it and only cold air would come out. I brought it back to Nordstrom and since I had purchased on my Nordstrom card, they let me choose another blow dryer from what they had at the store and I choose a T3. I brought it home and although it seemed just as good as the drybar it was terrible for my hair. I am often told by hair stylists that I have a lot of hair. It's thick with a frizzy wave going on and tends to grow in humid weather or while drying, like a Chia Pet. Well the T3 attatchment has a very wide opening. It was not concentrated enough to help calm my hair and it would grow significantly while drying. When I would use the Drybar I would always need product after to calm my hair down, either a finishing cream or some hairspray sprayed into my hands and then worked through. With the T3, even using product after my hair was going in every direction and could not be worked back into shape. I brought it back to Nordstrom and ordered the GHD Air from their website. I went back to my old cheap blow dryer while I waited for it to come and was surprised to find out that my hair was coming out similarly to the T3 and the Drybar. Had just started to think perhaps I was wasting money on these expensive blow dryers when the GHD Air came in, I tried it and was surprised at the difference. My hair seems to dry faster and I need no products after. This may actually save me some money on hair products. I can't believe I finally found a blow dryer that dries and tames my hair at the same time.

Really heavy to hold during a blowout.
Not happy with this dryer at all, It is really heavy to gold for a long blowout. Left my natural curly hair not smooth but dyer and did not feel soft. It took longer to blow out my curly hair than I ever thought. I returned it and got the T3 Cura and it works better for me and my hair. The T3 was also priced better and smooch lighter to hold during a quick blowout.

Not worth the price.
I really wanted to love this hair dryer. I have the GHD eclipse straightener and I love it! I went from using my $80 Rusk hair dryer to this. For the price it just wasn't amazing. I have long thick curly hair and while this did help blow dry my hair fast it was so heavy that by the end I wanted to just give up and let my hair air dry. It was just too heavy for me and does the same as my $80 dryer did.

Truly the best hair dryer I've ever had!
I use high end/salon quality products and styling tools so it's hard to expect much improvement, but I've always heard amazing things about ghd tools. I thought if this hair dryer is at least as good as my Dry Bar Buttercup (which I absolutely love and get great results from) then I'd just have TWO great hair dryers. I've used the ghd twice now and have not changed any hair products. There is a noticeable difference in the time it takes to dry my hair, close to half the time would be accurate. I also noticed a difference in the softness right after my hair was dry, it felt and looked softer. The strong air flow is great for getting to the roots (I have thicker hair) and the dryer is the quietest of any hair dryer I've used, even my Dry Bar Buttercup, which has now been demoted to "back up".

my Costco hairdryer lasted longer
My husband bought this for me as a gift. It’s noticeably heavier than any other hairdryer that I’ve had. And the air control buttons are on the outside of the handle - which I got use to, but not ergonomically the best placement. After 6 months of use, it stopped blowing hot hair. Whomp. $200 for a hairdryer to last 6 months? Literally have had hairdryers from Costco last years longer. Returning this and getting the Dyson. Hoping for better results from all the hype.

too heavy. only high low blowing, very odd that on/off and heat setting on outside of handle, rather than inside. i waited and researched and ended up dissapointed.

My Hair Feels Great!
After years of using a hairdryer that I bought from my local box store, I decided it was time to upgrade. This hairdryer is amazing! There are three temperature settings, but I always the medium temperature. The hot is too hot for me. The dryer dries my hair quickly and my hair feels incredibly soft afterwards. I used to hate using hairdryers, because my hair would feel frizzy and dried out afterwards but not with this dyer. It is a little pricy, but it is worth it. My mom used the dyer when she came for a visit and now wants one for herself! The hairdryer is a little on the heavy side, but since it dries your hair quickly, it's not bad.
