A Mud Contagrip® sole built for maximum grip uses deep, sharp lugs made from a compound that focuses on adhesion.

Really great and comfortable shoes for colder days
I really love the XT-6 Gore-Tex. They are waterproof, so great when it rains.
The Gore-Tex makes the shoe also quite a bit warmer, so it's great for colder weather. For warmer days, I'd pick an XT-6 without the Gore-Tex to let it breathe a bit more.

Gortex on these beautiful shoes really works
I know these shoes are beautiful. But what most people don’t know is how rain proof these shoes really are. I take them agate hunt ing on the Yellowstone river all the time and get into into the river with them and it all kinds of wet and muddy situations and they really repel the water.
