Fits poorly feels stiff & uncomfortable
Terribly disappointing. Been buying the 990's for decades. The new V6 is a give in to the competitors of the thick Foam heel and sole. The shoe fits poorly and uncomfortable feels long and stiff to the stride. I will buy the V4's as long as available.

Sneaky Stylish
I have been on an overhaul of my shoes, after realizing my running shoes were mismatched to my various mid-40s injuries and misalignments. I ended up getting both these and a pair of Brooks Addiction Walker 2s. These are way better looking, even coming with a secondary lace option. At first they were a bit pinchy in spots, but they have seemed to get better after some wear. Meanwhile, the Addiction Walkers, while somehow both too boring to be noticed but also ugly, seemed to fit perfectly from the start. That said, I expect these shoes will get better with age, the price was good through the outlet, and you gotta love that they actually make them in the USA.

I really like the design of the 990v6
Spring has sprung and this mushroom color is perfect for it. Fit is great, I usually go half a size smaller with New Balance that works best for me. These are comfortable “all day” walking around sneakers.
