I’ve had my eye on this dress since Ganni released it last spring, and was excited to see it go on sale. I’m usually a US size 6 in dresses and jeans and wear a 38 in Ganni dresses with plenty of room! I even have a Ganni 36 that is very fitted on me, but I can wear. I ordered my usual 38 in this dress and couldn’t even zip it! Even after all the holiday snacking, my other Ganni 38s fit fine, so I was bummed. It was still on sale when I received it, though, so I sent it back and ordered the 40. If anything the 40 is a little big! But it zips with lots of breathing room and is everything I want for spring and summer. The wonderful thing about Ganni dresses is that they tend to always look fresh and current even many seasons later, so if you’ve got your eye on this one and can get it on sale, don’t hesitate, just consider ordering a size up. While this dress is forgiving and flows generously in the lower hip area, the bust area warrants a word of caution. Most women probably know instinctively by looking if this dress will work for them; if you can comfortably go braless and have an athletic breast shape with a wide root, this will look great! The true flat-chested ladies of the world have a flattering friend in this dress. Others might find that the upper part of this dress is neither secure or supportive, which is probably why it didn’t sell out faster. This is a few women’s perfect dress, though, so snap it up for summer if that sounds like you.
