'Wayfarer' Loafer

Traditional penny-loafer, like we've all worn, or dreamed of wearing at least once in our young lives..... After a few bad years, it seems Bass is back to basics and to it's former quality, casual, affordable footwear. I have wide, extremely hard-to-fit feet, (bunions, narrow heels, years of dancing barefoot...you do the math!) but these fit like a dream and provide really sturdy support. I don't own a car, and walk probably 4+ miles a day, and these shoes were comfortable the whole time. They feel a bit stiff at first, but my foot settled in after a day or so of wear, and did so without the usually inevitable (for me) new-shoe blisters! I may decide to add a small arch support, (OTC from a drugstore, not an orthotic) but I do that with most of my flat shoes, and this would count only as a minor adjustment; the shoes are fine without, reallly. They are ALL leather, even the sole, which is thick and durable, and the shoes breathe very well. They even come with "pennies" to put in the decorative slot in front, although I prefer to use the storage space for guitar-picks (one always seems to lose picks). These are great casual shoes with more polish and support than a sneaker, and are appropriate for a casual office environment as well. Keep 'em polished and let the leather breathe between wearings, and they'll probably last for years!
