Nice shoe , poorly made for Frye shoes standards.
Is a nice looking shoe but poorly made or executed, yesterday Oct 21, 2025 I received the shoes, today oct 22, 2025 I decide to wear them, after ½ an hour of use the right cap toe on the right shoe just collapsed as if it was hit by a hammer, it looks and feels horrible, since I already use them I don't think I can return them or that Nordstrom will take them back, I'm not sure if this just happened to me or it has been happening to other people too, I own other Frye shoes and boots but Frye really messed up with this shoe . On my part Frye just lost a costumer.

Good shoes likely, May require more maintenance than expected.
Fit- solid
Comfort- 4 out of 5
Strings - solid
Leather is stiff to start but softens/ conforms even after a couple hours.
The color is going to require consistent polish possibly. 2 pairs in a row (sent first pair back) after less than a day use show color “cracking”, greying and discoloration at flex points. 2nd pair is doing the same but this time at different areas.
May be a wear-in issue where the color will stabilize after wear-in and a few treatments, but I’m not used to that. Bowery chukkas do not have that issue at all after several weeks of wear. Comfort is good though. Assuming they’ll last a long time like other Frye products I’ve had.

Nice shoe for the office.
Nice shoe for the office. Second pair - bought 1st pair about 10 years ago. Color much darker than 1st pair, but every pair is different/unique. . . Great shoes, very happy.

Great option
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got those shoes last week from the webpage, I was anxious to try them... they are simply perfect, comfortable and flexible.

A Bit Disappointing Out of the Box
When taking them out of the box, I noticed both shoes were scuffed back by the heel near the embossed logo. When lacing them up, it seems that the interior holes do not match up with the exterior ones. These are replacing a pair of Frye wingtips I’ve had for about 6 or 7 years. Has the quality of Frye’s craftsmanship changed that quickly?
