Kate Block Heel Boot

Arrived last night, smelled amazing, tried on and fit perfectly. They were in the closet off my bathroom and as I was walking into my bedroom I saw a 1.5 inch WOLF SPIDER! Ran to the closet and was able to QUICKLY put my boots on and they did amazingly quick squish work. Didn’t even stain. Saved so much money by not having to burn my house down.

OMG they fit! I’ve been searching for 10 years for wide calf boots that fit well, as my calves are muscular. I think my calf is not only wide, but the muscle is long, leaving most boots not able to zip up much past the ankle. So they may fit at the widest part, but nothing the middle part. These for the win! They look amazing! I also have a wider foot and despite looking narrow, they fit well there, as well. I wear 7.5 in sneakers and sometimes 7.5 is slightly big on me on nicer shoes. These heel does slip a tiny bit. But nothing I haven’t handled before (wide feet problem). So excited!

I really wanted to love these boots because Frye has such a great reputation, but I’m disappointed. I’ve worn them maybe once a month for about a year, and the sole has already started separating from the boot. For the price and brand name, I expected them to last much longer. The leather still looks beautiful, but the construction clearly didn’t hold up. I took good care of them and never wore them in harsh conditions, so it’s frustrating to see them fall apart with such light use. I wish Frye offered repair options or better quality control because I loved the look and style of these, but I can’t justify recommending them based on how they’ve held up.

I couldn't get my foot into the boot! Used a long shoe horn and wore a slippery thin sock. Strange fit. Too bad, cute style. Returned.

I really wanted these boots but when I tried them on, I couldn’t put my heel all the way down. I realize they’re pull on boots but they could use a zipper.

So. . .I ordered these in my regular size 7 as well as a 7.5. I was just about to return the 7.5 because I thought they were a smidge big but THEN I put on the 7s. They fit PERFECTLY on my RIGHT foot. Then I put on the left (which is my slightly larger foot). Length was great but right across the ball of my foot they were a bit tight. . .just enough to put pressure on that joint. I wore them around my kitchen. . .switched to the 7.5s. Definitely keeping the 7.5s.
