A buckled strap that wraps the ankle is echoed by a buckled tab at the back of a hand-burnished equestrian boot with a subtly curved topline and notched back cutout. Bench-crafted by hand, Frye’s 150-year-old heritage of quality leatherwork is evident in every detail.

  • 17 1/2" boot shaft; 15" calf circumference.
  • Pull-on style.
  • Natural hide variations and markings contribute to the custom look of each boot. No two are alike.
  • In hot or humid weather, natural leather may release a protective, waxy coating; simply wipe it off with a damp cloth.

Fall must have!

THE BOOT OF THE SEASON!! Ladies, These boots are like BUTTER!! The quality and craftmanship is outstanding. Purchase your true size and wear a few hours at a time to break them in. I have experienced no blisters or sore feet, the boots just take awhile to mold to you. You will never find another boot that conforms to your foot, this designer has been in the boot business since the Civil war, ( a little bit of trivia :) I have tried many a pair of boots, Tory Burch, Stuart Weitzman, Vera Wang and none have compared to Frye " Dorado" boots. You will not be disappointed! Get them before your size is sold out!! I am pairing mine with J Brand skinny jeans and a fringe poncho. Would also look good with a long skirt and jean jacket.

Way Too Piratey

These boots are much nicer in the photos than in person. They are not equestrian style at all - I ride horses and own several pairs of "real" riding boots. These are more pirate style. They are too high (over the knee on me and I'm 5'4") and there's way too much gap at the back of the calf and at the top. The leather quality and workmanship are great as expected with any Frye boot. They just were not what I was looking for so I returned them for the Melissa style.

Beautiful but...

These boots are gorgeous but quite costly and the main reason I returned them is that they are very very high@ Not over the knee but almost to the knee and so they were uncomfortable. I have fairly long legs and this has never been a problem for me before but they hit the bottom of my knee when walking. The color of the leather is stunningly beautiful but the width of the top is also quite wide. I like a tighter fit on a riding boot

Attractive boot but...

The leather is beautiful....style is as pictured. I have to return because they are toooooo hard to put on. Honestly, could not get my foot past the heel of boot. I don't have the time or inclination to fight with my boots. ;-))

The Dorado Riding Boot

I was looking for a very simple and flat boot and settled on The "Dorado" riding boot. They are beautiful and wear well. However, if you have thin ankles (which I do), they will rub when you walk since they are not at all snug around the angle, rather they are a bit wide at the back/ankle. I've gotten used to this and adjusted my socks accordingly. However, at first this is annoying and just doesn't work out if you're walking a lot. Also, if you cross your legs, you will definitely jab your knee from time to time if you don't watch the buckle. That all said, comfortable and VERY cute. Also, look amazing with pants tucked in or with tights and a dress.

the perfect pair of boots

Ive been searching for the perfect boots, and these are absolutely wonderful. Yes, they were difficult to put on at first, but these mold to your feet in a day, WITHOUT PAIN. the leather they use to make their boots is great quality. I'm 5 ft 5in and these boots fit perfectly lengthwise, and rest right under my knee.
