Sugar Lip Balm Sunscreen SPF 15

I have Rose, color looks good in the tube, swatches pink on my hand but doesn’t give me any noticeable lip color. Many thorny issues. Most importantly, product gets mushy and soft even at room temperature, a deal breaker for any lipstick. Not as hydrating as I’d like but at least there is SPF. But since it is so mushy, I don't take it outside and use indoors. The metal tube screws open and it's too fidgety. Like other Fresh products I have tried, this is overpriced for the value.

I first bought this in the clear color and thought I was crazy for spending so much on a balm. However, I've not been able to find anything else to replace this product it's so amazing. It's lightweight, very moisturizing, never feels sticky, gives a just right shimmer and lasts a long time for a lip balm. I've since purchased several colors. I have honey, it's a a warm nude (brownish/beige undertone with a hint of orange and I do mean a hint). I have petal, it's a beautiful soft pink tone. My favorite! If you swatch honey and petal on your hand they will look almost identical but it's not the case when on your lips. I have rose, it's a sheer color with a slight hint of reddish/pink. And I've recently picked up the newest color, nude. It's a shimmery peach beige. Beautiful for the summer. I use these colors all year round and they always look great!

After reading all the reviews, I was really excited to try the product. However, upon receiving it I noticed that the expiration date was Jan. 2020. I was surprised that this came from Nordstrom, considering the things they sell are known for good quality and high standards. However, I won’t be giving up, I will be returning this and hopefully try again for one that isn’t expired.

I have used the Rose for years now (and the Advanced Therapy with no sunscreen every night). It's difficult for me to understand any negative reviews. My lips are never, never dry or chapped any more. Yes, this requires frequent application, but it lasts a long time. Yes, the tube requires you to screw on & off the cap, but this means it never opens by mistake in my purse. Yes, it has a faint scent, but I find it pleasant. Yes, the Rose is a soft color, but my fair coloring likes it. (There is a mild stain that remains with continued use.) It is pricey, but I think it's worth every penny to remain kissable. I also like not having to look in a mirror to put it on. Broken product? Well, of course, only advance a little at a time. This is also not a cheap, waxy formula, so don't leave it in your car. My advice is to experiment until you find your favorite color, and keep an open mind. I will continue to keep two at home, one in my purse, and one packed for travel.
