Seamless Slip

I am 5'2, 103 lbs, straight body type. I wore the slip under a relatively sheer dress. It fit well, and material felt smooth. However, it was constantly riding up--every time I got up from sitting, as well as when I'm walking. I was perpetually either trying to pull it down discreetly, or going to the bath room to pull it down. I spent the entire day worrying whether I was flashing people.

This slip is a great, a versatile length and invisible under clothes, lacking embellishment. Due to the reviews, I decided to order it in medium/large even though I am a size 2/4, because I walk everywhere and I didn't want it riding up; I wanted it to be functional and to stay in place despite my long stride. I am really happy I made that choice. It still completely conforms to my frame without any extra material, but doesn't squeeze, wrinkle, rise, bunch or ride up. I also really appreciate that this isn't another uncomfortable and ubiquitous shape wear item. There is no compression with this piece.

This is the best slip dress I've found so far.. its a soft strechy material but also has a satiny feel to it so it doesn't stick to other fabrics. I read other reviews where people were complaining about it riding up so I bought the larger size and I've had no problems. Its also thick enough to wear alone as a dress if you want!

I'm not sure why EVERY maker of slips doesn't just put a silicone strip around the hem to avoid the slip riding up as you walk. I actually wore this into the store and was so fed up with having to pull it down that I went to the intimates section, found a Yummi by Heather Thomson and bought it. I took the Free People slip right off, in the store, and promptly returned it (one of the reasons that I am a loyal Nordstrom shopper...they didn't even blink an eye). Not sure that it would make a difference with different body types. I'm 121 lbs and built straight. I do NOT recommend.

I'm 5'7", 122lbs, 34B-27-37 and generally wear a size 4 in dresses. I purchased this slip in white M/L and black XS/S, because I wasn't sure which size or which color I wanted. This is a super stretchy item, so of course both items fit. But I noticed that the XS/S tended to ride up, where as the M/L did not - but the white is see through and I decided the black would be more useful to me. I returned both and reordered the black in a M/L and am very happy with my purchase. This slip doesn't bind at all, so if you're using it for smoothing purposes, I don't think it will do much. But it's great to use under something that you worry might be too revealing. As a note - in general, if something "fits" but rides up on you, try a larger size. It's frequently just as flattering and without the hassle.

I'm 5'2, 120 lbs, 34B w/a curvy shape & I ordered this slip in a size XS & a size Small in black. I usually have problems with "ride up" w/most tight fitting clothes & garments but I surprisingly didn't have that problem with this slip, in either size. Both fit fine but the XS fit the best & more snug, yet comfortable (which is what I wanted), so I decided to keep it & return the Small.
