Ashby Blazer

My brother RARELY compliment my clothes, but each of them have said something like, "Hey nice blazer." It has a wonderful late 80's early 90's vibe. I think it runs large, I consistently receive compliments on it. I've had it 6 weeks, worn it with white slacks and dark jeans, I LOVE the versatility.

This blazer is well made and I would have LOVED it if it were not so long on me. I am 5’6” and bought an XS and the blazer still went past my hips. This makes for a super unflattering combo with the double breasted detail, when the blazer is open it flares out like a trapezoid over the hips. I think it only looks good in very specific outfits which is a shame because the fabric and construction is beautiful.

Reasonable price for this trendy piece. This isn’t a classic I expect to keep in my wardrobe and would expect one or two season’s use out of it. The fabric is substantial almost like a denim. I’m just under 5’4 size 4 and took an XS. The sleeves are too long so I’ll have to work on how to style them so it doesn’t look like I’m wearing hand me downs. My determining factor in whether or not to keep will be if I can get the proportions right with styling the longer length of the blazer and me being on the petite side, I’ll need to see if the proportions will work with jeans and heels which is how I intend to style it.
