Carnal Flower Eau de Parfum

I used to ADORE this perfume; it was the most beautiful fragrance I'd ever encountered. I started wearing it 12 years ago. Sadly, it has been reformulated since Estee Lauder bought Frederic Malle in 2015, and is a shadow of its former self. There used to be so much true, natural tuberose in this scent; it smelled expensive and lush. It was a work of art. The difference in the reformulation is noticeable and disappointing: there's way more of a too-masculine musky note and way fewer flowers. Carnal Flower used to be worth the price, but now it's nothing special. I'm sadly returning the bottle I just bought.

smells different and barely lasts more than 15 min. the old bottle I have smells so so much better and lasts for weeks!

I was wearing this calogne on a public bus and two ladies I did not know were looking at me . I wondered what were their problems. One of the ladies got up and looked at me with a smile and said I was smelling real good.

I'd read so much on this fragrance and i'm happy to report that everyone was right! It's a warm and divise and luxurious floral scent. I am no expert on fragrances, so I cannot speak on top notes and base notes, but many perfumistas do and a quick search will give you more than you can handle. Carnal Flower is very sweet on initial smell, think tuberose, roses, gardenias and then it melts into something more silky, sexy and mature, but still decadently sweet. People will be delighted by your scent from about 2-3 feet away. For me, it doesn't leave a long trail but you will still have people racing to ask you about that insanely tempting, nicely naughty fragrance. Man or woman, even if you are not a "floral", I recommend you put a drop on your wrists and wear it for a day. It just may be love at first whiff, just as it was for me.

I thought I’d really enjoy this scent reading the notes, but UGH! It smelled like expired nail polish and lighter fluid. Idk. I’m thinking this perfume just did not agree with my body chemistry. I’m glad I sampled first.

I’ve been searching for 10 years for a new signature scent since I outgrew my last one. I have spent so much trying to find the perfect scent-but everything either gave me a headache, or I hated it after a month. But this one?? Not an instant love, I will admit. It was very green on me in the store which initially deterred me from purchasing, but I had a sample in my purse that I randomly used one day, and once it dried down it was amazing. I didn’t even realize I was the one who smelled so good. I kept looking around to see if someone nearby was wearing the scent to ask them what it was, then my bf compliment me. And I was shocked. Me? Im the one who smells like that? I used that tester for a solid week before I decided it was the one. Bought the full size the next week. Couldn’t be happier. If you don’t like it off the bat-let it dry down. Even layer it with something oud-y if it’s too floral for you. This floral doesn’t give me a headache- the one and only I’ve ever tried (im usually an oud & santal person)
