Notre Dame Candle

What it is: A unique, handmade candle composed of vegetal and tallow waxes, presented in a minimalistic matte porcelain vessel.

Fragrance story: Of his extremely short career as an altar boy, Frédéric Malle only remembers the giggles of his friends and the scent of incense. From his lab in New York City, Bruno Jovanovic managed to overcome the technical difficulty that this scent entails in order to reproduce the dry warmth of the vapor and the damp coolness of the stone to create a church-like atmosphere.

Style: Woody, aromatic.

How to use: Do not burn for longer than two hours, or burn unattended. Allow the candle to solidify before relighting. Should black smoke appear, trim the wick. The wick should be clean and no longer than 1/4-inch. Do not burn down to the bottom or on or near anything that can catch fire.
