Eileen Relaxed Terry Button-Up Shirt

I didn't purchase this here because it was first available directly from the manufacturer. Eileen is always my go-to style, and this is my absolute favorite in cooler weather. I probably have ten of these, and when a new color comes out, I have a hard time resisting. You get the warmth of triple fleece with the elevated look of a button-up. I love the exposed seams and the cute left chest pocket. If it's really chilly, I layer my triple fleece Eileen's with a flannel shirt. Warning, once you try this, you'll become addicted, too!

I just received this Eileen in white and it’s obviously been worn as it’s dirty and not only are there stains on the pocket and sleeves there is a toothpick in the pocket also! This is the 3rd time I’ve ordered a “sale” F & E item from Nordstrom with problems. I know when things ship directly from F & E they do not have tags attached which is a problem I imagine with your liberal return policy. My lesson is finally learnt that if it’s a one off size on sale it’s damaged and not a “deal”. Very disappointing.

I own several Eileen button ups, always in a size Small. Typically, I would take a Medium in most tops, especially button ups. The fleece fabric is beautiful BUT I noticed it ran a lot larger than my denim, linen and featherweight button ups. I bought the size Small and it just is overwhelming for my 5’4”frame. I was shocked at just how big this “shirt” was on me. It really fit me more like a shacket and that was not the look I was after. It seems much longer in the length and more boxy. Dropping to an XS is not an option because I need the Small through the bust. While I really love the look and quality of F&E I feel like a lot of items do not fit me properly because I am short-waisted. I have a lot of trouble with their pants. Legs are short and crotch is too long, waistband much too high. I have never had an issue with the button ups or the button up dresses. I also love the fleece Patrick! For reference I am 5’4”, 132 lbs, 34dd and size 27 jeans.

There is nothing negative about these shirts other than how expensive they are. This button-up is one of their best as the triple fleece is fantastic for cooler weather and the button-up style gives a more put together look than the “Patrick” triple fleece “pop over.“ This is cut in F&E’s “Eileen” style which is oversized, you will probably want to size down. I am an XS in this shirt whereas I am normally a small or medium in other manufacturers. If you are large busted the “Eileen” is cut to accommodate, I do not have problems with gaping or pulling and I’m a 36DDD. The shirt launders perfectly too and they are available in several beautiful colors. Like another reviewer, I find them to be addictive too,

I was excited to find this Eileen Terry shirt in the Tide color as I had already purchased the matching pants on sale and it was at a very low price point. I purchased the shirt in a size M even though I normally wear a S. I was willing to wear it oversized for the huge savings. When the shirt arrived I was very disappointed. There were no tags attached and no receipt of any kind in the bag. The shirt had an unpleasant smell and what looked like dog hair all over the shirt. I returned the shirt. The greatly reduced price did not make up for the condition of the garment.
