limp corduroy, disappointing
This shirt just looks like an old, limp shirt that has seen better days and it has not been “distressed” as some F&E items purposely are. The color is nice, though I’m not usually drawn to pink, this is a soft pink that would look good with many colors I would wear with it. Unfortunately, the shirt lacks any body and it drapes into a sloppy, disheveled look. it doesn’t appear to keep any shape (doubt ironing would help). It reminds me of the condition of shirts I save for doing heavy gardening, yard work and messy art projects. If I’d found this at a thrift store, I’d have called it a “score” for $4.00. Returned this and admit I am a bit leery now about the corduroy used by F&E.

Soft but frumpy
Wanted to love it. Great color and the fabric was super soft, but it just looked frumpy. It was also sort of puffy in the back because of the way the stitching worked. It seemed more like a "work on chores around the house shirt" but was priced (even on sale) like a "something nice to wear to work or out in public" shirt.

Beautiful shirt
All three colors of the F&E corduroy shirts this season at Nordstrom’s are terrific, the colors are rich and nicely saturated and look and feel soft and luxe on. These are mid weight shirts, not a heavy fabric and will transition well from winter into early spring. As some reviewers noted, these shirts are advertised as the “Barry” style but are in fact the “Eileen,” which is a much more relaxed cut. F&E has an explanation of the fit all their different shirt styles on their website. One of the great things about the Eileen is it that the buttons are placed so as to avoid gaping across the bust line. I am a 36 DD and they fit me beautifully.
