Melfi Mary Jane (Women)

Best mary jane flats I have ever worn. Fit me 100% TTS (7M) with room for thin socks. The heel height, shape of the toe, and patent finish all hit the mark. Comfort is AAA+. They are extremely padded and flexible. I've never worn flats with that much cushion under the ball of the foot. I actually wish they made this exact shoe with a 2" block heel, because I bet they would be remarkably comfortable, as well. Wore these all day and evening at Disneyland for an event, and I wore them in London for several days. Since these are faux leather, they do not stretch like leather, so if they're not comfortable out of the box I would suggest passing. All around 100 stars!

I have lost many shoes over the years to my own misplacing, dogs, and just unexpected circumstances. I've never been a fan of shoes - shopping or wearing, but I know how essential they are to anyone's closet. I needed every day shoes, that I could wear to an outing or work, basically as many occasions as possible. Franco Sarto has a good rep, and these were in the price range I needed at the time. I thought they were beautiful, versatile, and a closet staple. I was mostly right. The fit is awkward. I found one of my feet trying to slip out almost immediately (with no socks or sock liners). I'm usually a size 7.5-8 and I purchased the 8. On the other foot, the shoe was a pefect fit (just a bit of snugness to feel you are locked in - not uncomfortable). I know each person's foot is a slightly different size (left vs right), but I've never dealt with such a stark difference. I feel with socks the gap is less noticeable, but without them, I have to remember to step into them with each stride. I will also say the sole scuffed immediately during my first wear. I'm no shoe aficionado, but I got the sense the material didn't match the price tag (could be wrong here). I'd recommend trying these if you can size in person or you are okay with exchanging until you find the right fit.
