Balin Platform Loafer (Women)

This is a beautiful platform loafer. It has detailed stitching and an elevated platform that adds a bit of height but doesn’t take away from the comfortability. It is lightweight despite having a platform. However, the sizing is a bit off. It fits normal in the width, but a little too big in length. My normal shoes size is a 8.5 in Franco Balin, but I was slipping out of this shoe. I exchanged for a size 8, and it fits a bit snug. This is not a leather shoe, so I don’t think it will give much but I’m going to keep it and try. It’s not an everyday walking shoe, so don’t wear it walking around the streets of New York City, but should be good for daily wear. My shoe has some what I can only describe as hot glue residue on the outside of the shoe. I’ve tried to scrape it off but it’s glued to the lace stitching. Certainly a bummer on that. My original 8.5 did not have this flaw. All in all, past the sizing and the glue, it is a solid shoe.
