What it is: A collection of six eau de parfum vials containing distinctive Aesop aromas for the fragrance curator who likes to pair scents with the time of day or frame of mind.

Set includes:
- Hwyl: an intriguing fragrance with a hint of eccentricity. Reminiscent of a Hinoki forest, smoky notes descend into subtle spice and dark green, earthy accords
- Karst: a moody yet fresh fragrance reminiscent of cliffside vegetation and the seashore, with mineral top notes and stormy, metallic base accords
- Rōzu: a fragrance of tender intensity—unmistakably rose, yet nuanced and expansive, with vibrant shiso accords, woods and spice, earth and light smoke
- Marrakech Intense: a raw, unorthodox fragrance distinguished by woody, spicy notes and fresh florals—a deep, rich and alluring homage to the city of the same name
- Eidesis: a beguiling fragrance with bright opening notes that develop into deep spice, damp earth and dry woods
- Tacit: a vibrant, uplifting and distinctly contemporary fragrance distinguished by liberal use of basil grand vert and fresh citrus notes

This is a great sampling for the price point

Aesop scent profile is pretty distinctive and comes across very clean and strong in this grouping. In general eau de toilette fragrances are not as powerful/do not last as long as parfums, however these are strong. The sprayer function is iffy but once you get it to spray - that small amount is enough. It takes a moment for the alcohol to dry down as well, but then the scent profile is revealed. I am not a huge fan of sandalwood, but it tends to take a back seat when there is frankincense or vetiver in the blend. I mostly bought this set to try out Tacit, and it was worth it for that scent alone. I also really like Hwyl which truly lasts till you scrub it off. Rozū is distinctively rose scented like the first time you smell lingering rose water on the skin. And I haven’t had enough time with the other three scents but again this sampling for the price point is worth it. Wondering if there is going to be a second anthology as this represents only a fraction of their scents.

I would have preferred old fashioned samples that you dab on, rather than a spray that gets everywhere.

Overpriced for a sample

Considering the price, it was disappointing that the sample perfumes didn’t even come with a lid so it could be put in your bag as a travel size. Would have been better to have been slightly larger with caps on the spray.

Interesting but expensive

The scents themselves are interesting and I liked the small sample sizes for travel. But at just 2 ml each (10ml in total) this product was way too expensive and I wouldn’t buy again.
