Corbetta Cap Toe Oxford (Men)

Fit I'm a size 12 with sneakers so I went half a size down and was quite disappointed with the fit. Generally, I would choose a size 11 for dress shoes but my feet are a little wider so 11.5 seemed perfect. They feel more like a 12.5 than an 11.5 - so much so that I had to make sure I ordered 11.5 US and not 11.5 UK (which translates to a 12.5 US). They are just too big. Comfort I wanted these to serve as an everyday pair of dress shoes with comfort, especially for long hours spent on your feet (Ex. attending a trade fair). I must say that they hit the right note and then some. They are extremely comfortable - memory foam & rubber sole feel really good. Shape They are close enough to a quality Oxford shoe mold for the price, and I'm sure they'd look even better in a size closer to your true fit. In other words, they look like Oxfords. Quality Quality-wise, maybe a little less than you would expect for a pair of dress shoes worth $120 (I own a pair of tassel loafers from Cole Haan that I spent $100 on, and after 2 years of wearing them fairly regularly they look and hold up a lot better than these). The quality of the leather is not as good as on the loafers I just mentioned. Overall, the fit was the major turn off for me. If you get them at the right size, I think at least 8 out of 10 people will be pleased with their purchase. Nevertheless, if you're bent on buying a pair of Oxfords for less, I'd advise adding another $70 or so to get better quality in the long run and a more snug fit, from one of the newer foreign brands (see Meermin or Beckett Simonon)
