Floral Sleeveless Shirtdress Gown

I am 5.3" and 135 pounds. I bought a size 8, it was good, just a little bit long, but Nordstrom did an alteration and at the end I really love how I looked. I wore this dress for my son's wedding, was the perfect dress for me. I looked at many options because the wedding started at noon and ended at 10 pm. This color was a good choice simple, elegant, and not as flashy as some other options I tried.

I had such an unnecessary headache with Nordstrom surrounding ordering this dress. The dress that was supposed to be shipped was somehow done as “pick-up” & even though I was assured that would be corrected, it never was. Furthermore, couple days later, after having to speak to a supervisor regarding the dress, as solution, the supervisor marks it as “picked-up” but is trying to assure me that the dress would be there when I go to the Store, 3 days later. After all that, who in their right mind would say “no problem, let it be marked as picked-up with your promise that the dress would wait for me at the store”? HUH? Anyway, as to the dress…I had gotten it for a couple upcoming events. I was sure the dress would fit as this style normally is very flattering on me. Well, it wasn’t. As to the length, it’s long. I am 5.5 & the dress was slightly dragging on the floor but personally, with a small heel, that’s how I would wear it. Even though I was aware that the dress had no stretch, I still thought the fabric would have some give but it has none. The fabric is quite stiff & felt as if it was a heavy printed table cloth, in person…it just was cut disproportionately. If you’re small chested, then perhaps & have a long torso, maybe it’d be good. In addition, it’s lined with polyester. Having so much fabric, none of it natural that would breathe, I thought I’d cook in wearing it, esp. summertime. It was definitely not what expected it to be, at all. To add. I actually ended up getting to the store…probably last time I go into Nordstrom. The customer service Nordstrom once had is completely gone. Non of the associates even greet you & if going there a couple of hours before closing time, they’re arranging hangers, talking to one another or on the phone. If you ask for something, you feel as though you’re bothering them. Awful. And as someone familiar with the Retail Industry, it’s frankly appalling.
