Floral Ruffle Georgette Gown

This is a gorgeous dress. The georgette dress style for RL is my favorite, there have been many iterations of it. The neckline is beautiful and fun. I worried it would be too busy for a curvy shape and full bust, but I found it to be very flattering. The back of the gown is gorgeous and allows for a full bra. The movement of all the ruffle at the skirt is lovely. There is a slight ruching at the waist that is hard to see in the photo that helps add some shape, though I may have it taken in at the waist just a tad. Given my full bust I am usually a 10 in dresses but I fit an 8 in this gown, which tells me it *may* run slightly large. I am 5’8” and with a modest heel the length was perfect. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the color. This color is a true tan, rather than the buttery yellow in the picture. I think it’s a challenging color for many to pull off. It will look best on olive-dark skin tones. I happen to have dark brown hair and olive-toned skin but I’m still at risk of being slightly washed out. I love the dress so much though, I’m going to use some self tanner and get sparkle going in my jewelry to add texture and tone to the overall look. I think that will get me by. If RL comes out with this gown in a rich autumn mauve, delicate floral or black…this would be flawless. I wish there was another option now! I am wearing this to a garden chic formal wedding in southern CA.
