Holland Longline Wool Coat

This coat is an investment. It’s expensive. I could (and did) have 5 other coats rather than pay for this one. But I’ve been unhappy with my dress coat purchase for many years. The sizing has been odd, I’d need to size up one or two full sizes to wear a sweater underneath. And the wind would blow right through the cloth. So I decided to invest in me. It was love as soon as I slipped this jacket on. I selected my regular size, expecting it to be snug (bra size is a D cup), and it fit perfectly! The material weight and lining create a weighted drape that screams expensive. The lining is a happy pink color that manes you smile in the middle of winter. There’s room for a sweater and your hips. It is not form-fitting, but is tailored to be a real coat- thank heavens!

I liked this coat for the design, the gorgeous color and the fit. It looks sleek when on and buttoned. Not oversized and baggy. The fit in a size 2 was perfect with room for a sweater underneath. for reference I am 5'5", 122 lbs. However, I did not like the contrast color of the lining. When the coat is unbuttoned and you walk, the apricot colored lining is distracting to the look. Also, I was comfortable wearing the coat in a 69 degree room with sweats underneath. It is not really warm. A good fall or spring coat. Ultimately I returned it because I just didn't care for the contrast between the color of the coat and the apricot lining. Also, I didn't like the large label in white sewn right into the facing of the coat where it is seen constantly. You can remove it, but that's a pain. I have an older 100% cashmere coat by same company and the label is sewn on the interior and the lining matches the coat color.

Beautiful coat and extremely soft (wasn’t expecting that). I ordered a 14 because I usually need to size up for my bust (34DDD) and shoulders (17.5 in width). This coat fits my shoulders and bust perfectly with give. It is larger in the waist which I’m alright with but may have it tailored down later. I usually wear it with a light weight and a mid weight sweater underneath (still very comfortable). I’m 5’9”/175lbs and this coat hits me just above mid calf. The sleeve length is also excellent. They could be a touch longer for personal preference but otherwise no issues. Arrived with not a string out of place. Will probably purchase another coat from this brand.

The coat felt very lightweight and had a few wrinkles straight out of the box. So I ignored my instincts - the fit was decent, the reviews were great and I needed a new coat for a work. That was a mistake. Got a preview of its performance after a 30 minute uber ride. It pretty much turned into a misshapen wrinkled mess. I have had multiple jcrew coats for a third of the price that wore much better. This is an epic disappointment.
