Love These
Love these slightly flared, slender Open-Edit black trousers. Looks lean on my body.
I normally wear size 12-14 in trousers depending on type and designer. I’m curvy woman with small waist and petite at 5’3. Got these in 16 (fit like 14W) size which is size I’ve never purchased before.
I’ve read that for petite women with beautiful curvy bodies, we could try purchasing 1-2 sizes up from our dress size (I’m size 12-regular in dresses and size Medium in Tops). Larger sizes up may need altering, so having good seamstress (I do!) to alter your trousers will ensure nicer fit. Please beware of getting hung up with the size of clothing purchased since most clothing makers aren’t cutting nor designing for every beautiful woman body type. Separates too are sometimes difficult to find. Honestly, it’s frequently hit or miss to find dress trousers that compliment a petite, curvy body-style woman body and look put together.
These trousers were a bit long but with 3” heel, no alteration is necessarily required. Paired with black Open-Edit double-breasted jacket (color not identical blacks though) that hit past my hips with cinched in waist. Paired with one of my Chanel bags and pointy toe black heels! Very sophisticated, slender (I dare say also taller) look. Trousers were on sale too.
