Best jacket I've ever had
I can confirm as others have that this is the best jacket I've ever had! It's so versatile, warm, and perfectly designed. Everything is sturdy, well-made, and the features do exactly what you need them to: Pockets are well-placed, sleeve cuffs can be tightened, the cinch waist option is very helpful, and the hood is very warm and adjustable (although I rarely use it). I think this jacket is best for cold-weather out-and-about. If you were hiking in 20-30 degrees, you'd probably get warm with underlayers and everything zipped. But otherwise outdoors in those temperatures it's perfect. I was worried it would be too warm for 40's-low 50's evenings and it's not -- it's just right. Very comfortable!

Ask For extra wool to fill the Sleeves!!
Not flattering! Sleeves too, too wide. Too bad because it is great quality.😔

Curvy figures: tight in the hips and boxy on top
The XL in Fjallraven's Nuuk parka fits me but the XL in this parka is too tight in the hips and then enormous on top. If it had fit, I think it is a really well made, warm coat. If you're thinking about animal welfare, this coat does not contain down. It does contain wool and the company says they are working on ensuring humane standards throughout the wool supply chain.

I bought this jacket because I was looking for a fashionable piece that would be warm enough for winter in New England. It has been basically the perfect jacket- keeps me comfortably warm (along with proper layering) into the 10-30°F range. Above 30°F I've worn it with only a tshirt under and have still been comfortable. My only complaint is that the sleeves are very long, as others have said. The sleeves fall about an inch below my hands unless I cuff them, and they look a bit odd cuffed because of how much extra fabric there is. It does help keep my hands warm though.

Exceptional warmth and comfort
I bought this for winter trips to Scandinavia and it has not disappointed. Incredibly comfortable and very well cut, with plenty of adjustment via drawstrings to keep out the wind. It's also been surprisingly useful during milder British winters and so has got more use than expected. It also looks fantastic. Quite bulky, but less than you might imagine given it's lined with wool rather than down. Excellent

Great jacket, functionally and fashionably.
Purchased this for my girlfriend and so far it's been awesome! All of the drawstring functions lock in your body heat and keep you warm, and dry. It's not a rain coat, but so far we've yet to notice any water getting through the top layer of the jacket. It's about time to wash it up and re-spray with DWR to keep it doing well for another decade (or more) hopefully!

My Forever Coat.
I have completed my first (of I hope many winters) with this coat and I can say it is a fabulous coat. Kept me warm in all winter weather. It takes a bit of getting used to after wearing lighter puffy coats but it’s weight soon started to feel like a warm security blanket. The big pockets are amazing as nothing falls out of them. The cut is generous on top but a bit tighter through the hips. My only improvement would make the cut a bit wider at the bottom. I am 5’8” and 143 lbs and a medium fits perfectly with room for layers on top but only just right around the hips.
