This versatile backpack that can be alternately carried like a tote was originally designed as a school bag for Swedish children in the late 1970s. Made from heavy-duty, waxable G-1000 fabric that repels water and detailed with genuine leather trim, this sturdy pack not only evokes classic style but also offers durable, long-lasting functionality.

Love it!!!

I'm petite, so I worry about backpacks looking huge. This was the right fit, compact, I could fit my umbrella, water bottle, laptop, books and my random stuff. Also I can fit my wallet and phone in the front pocket. This was a great purchase. Sturdy, roomy and the Olive color is vintage looking.

Nice looking bag, horribly uncomfortable

I was looking forward to this becoming an everyday bag to help tote my toddlers gear along with items I’d normally carry in a purse. Well after 20 minutes use at Disneyland I knew this bag was going back. I was wearing a tank top and the rubbing of the straps on and near my arm and shoulder was so unbearable I had to take it off and put in the stroller. I would assume if you’re always planning on wearing layers or sleeves shirts it wouldn’t be so bad, but I have no idea how so many people walk around wearing this horribly uncomfortable bag. It’s unfortunate because the style and capacity were perfect. I opted for a Tumi bag, definitely more expensive but worth every penny. Comfort, style and quality.

Good-looking but no strap padding

I really liked the look of this, but the straps are just too mimimal with no padding. I returned it and got a State backpack instead which is really comfortable.

Falls apart

Love the backpack, love the style but the zipper started fraying and separating from the canvas in less than a year. Fjallraven replaced the backpack for free and with less than a year of use on the replacement, the zipper is fraying again.

Love it!!!

Perfect!!

Love love love this backpack!! It's so comfortable and holds everything I need for me and my kids. I bought this to use as a diaper bag and it's perfect.

Number 3

I love my Kanken No. 2s. This is my third one in 10 years - I go everywhere with it, use it in place of a purse and feel very cool. It's rugged and cannot be destroyed with regular-neglectful use, (thrown around, placed in a muddy puddle, stepped on), and can be spot-cleaned pretty well. It's durable, nice looking, forgiving. Goes with any outfit if you're casual to nicely dressed. Be smart, get this backpack.
