Genuinely PERFECT!
After going through five car seats, the Chico Fit360 Zip ClearTex is hands down the winner. I don't normally leave reviews, however they really hit a home run with this car seat so the chef deserves compliments. It is the best bang for buck out there and I've tested all of them for hours in the stores. The rotation is super smooth and actually locks at 90 degrees (unlike others), so it doesn't swing around while you're loading your child. The padding feels just right. not too hard, not too soft. And the covers come off for washing. The magnetic chest clip is a game changer, super handy, and still feels secure. Other car seats have fake reclines similar to airplane seats... you know when your head keeps falling forward even in full recline. The recline on this one actually works! My child's head rests back safely instead of flopping forward. I would normally say "cup holders are cup holders," but these deserve a shout-out. They're flexible, accommodating, easy to twist out and rinse, and surprisingly practical. I've wedged my phone (with Peppa Pig playing) into them when my toddler was hangry. Loosening the harness is effortless, no fighting with tight straps, and the magnetic strap holders on the side keep everything out of the way. Chicco doesn't advertise the magnetic strap holders enough, so allow me to give public praise to them! Installation was refreshingly simple. The push-down panel really tightens the base securely with zero effort... gone are the days of having one person pushing down into the base while another person is tightening the strap. Materials and overall build quality feel premium. The convex mirror works great and is at the perfect height so as to not create driving blind spots. The ergonomics of the seat itself are outstanding! I've seen other car seats where the kid is crunched into an uncomfortable fetal position... not this one. I'm so impressed that I might buy a second one for my wife's vehicle. I wrote this without AI, so hopefully it saves you hours of research.
