Although the description says brown, it's a very light cocoa kinda brown. Closer to a tan/neutral in my opinion, which makes them more versatile than the black & tan..(I still like those too). Because I have several different black combat boots I needed something different. I'm pleased with my purchase. If you need a "neutral" casual boot this is a good look.
