CAP SLEEVE PONTE SHEATH MIDI DRESS

Been in need of a basic red dress for a while, sadly this won't work. The color is fantastic, very versatile. The fit was a miss for me, though. The seam placement is off. The waist is too high, visually competes with a belt if you add one, and sits just above most women's natural pouch. Looks like a maternity dress if you don't have flat abs, or just ate a big meal. There is also a seam over the hip that looks like a panty line. From the side, it looks like a girdle! The dress really hugged my hips and narrows dramatically. Even with spanx and unzipped a little at the bottom, it wasn't flattering, and I could not go up a size because the top would have been loose. Might look great on an hour glass figure, but it wasn't a winner for this pear shape.

After bookmarking this dress and revisiting the page several times, I finally decided to order this stunning dress, and I'm so glad I did! At 5'2"/115lbs I ordered the regular size X-Small in the Moroccan Blue, and the fit is perfect! The construction and fabric are high quality and the zipper detail on the back adds just the right amount of drama. This dress is perfect for a variety of occasions: date night, wedding guest, church or office. The below-the-knee length is a classy, feminine balance to the body-conscious styling of the dress; it shows off your figure without showing too much! Very happy with this purchase and would buy multiple colors!

I first ordered this dress in Red and wore it to a friend's engagement party and got compliment after compliment on the fit and color. After this, I decided to purchase in a more subtle tone, and went with the Navy Blue option. I am just as happy with this dress, and know they will both be staples in my closet. I did however order one size up, I wear this dress to work and church, so I didn't want it to be TOO SNUG, so giving that little extra room, really helps!

I love this dress! I'm 5'0" 100lbs and a 32D. I was looking for a dress that I could get away with wearing to several cocktail events that might have a few of the same people and doesn't stand out too much because. I actually wanted something that wasn't so form fitting, but this dress fit like a glove and I feel like I'm in Scandal or Suits! The second the dress goes on sale, I'm going to buy it in at least 2 other colors.

For anyone like me who reads ALL the reviews to make an informed purchase --I'll give as many details as I can! First and foremost, I bought this dress in the navy blue for my engagement pictures. I didn't really know what size to order based on the reviews so I decided to go to Nordstroms to try them on instead. I'm 5'5, 115lbs, and a 32D. I tried on the Regular Small, Petite Small, and Petite Medium. The only difference I noticed between all 3 sizes was the length of the dress. The regular small hit below my knee, the petite small came to about an inch above my knee, and the petite medium hit just at the top of my knee (so I decided to go with the petite M). Other than that, they all were equally as snug, in my opinion. The dress is nice and thick and is a mix of sexy and conservative. I'm typically not one to spend $100 bucks on a dress I won't wear that often, but this is one that will not go out of style :) Will most likely pair mine with a statement necklace and closed toed pumps!
