The Jones Wide Leg Pants

I value detailed reviews for online clothing purchases, so I hope to pass on the favor. The pants are gorgeous. Lovely weight. The wide pant cut and drape is rich and elegant. I’m pairing them with the matching FD Jones vest. The fabric is slightly see through, so no lacey thongs, and probably not an option for anyone super modest. The size chart was off even for my not so 20 year old, menopausal waist. Knowing the waists run small on similar wide leg Favorite Daughter pants, I ordered the size chart recommended size 12. Mind you, I’m a solid 28 in jeans (waist 30.75, hips 38.5”) and I’ve NEVER worn a size 12. I was swimming in the waist and the hips. I made a special trip to the store and ultimately landed on a size 8. It is slightly snug in the waist, but still comfortable, see my pic with tape measure. The hips in the size 8 were a perfect fit. Be warned that the length is a full 34” inseam, so mine will need to be hemmed (5’7” & 165lbs). One disappointing item is that the pants had an area on the hips that looked like a stain, but appears to be an abrasion of the fabric. I apologize that my picture doesn’t do it justice. My husband and daughter noticed it immediately. At this price, I will be exchanging them for a defect free pair.

I have had these in my closet with the tags on for a year+ and just took them on a work trip and am upset I didn’t wear them sooner. They are so flattering and so comfortable! I got them in Ivory and feel they fit true to size. I wore with a kitten heel and could use an extra 2”, I am 5’10”. If I was barefoot, they touch the floor.
