Faux Leather Trim Wool Blend Coat

I purchased this coat when it was on sale for $159. I chose the black color and size 6. I am 5’2 and 120 pounds. This fit perfect! I saw several reviews saying this looked cheap, but I’m assuming it’s because it was in the camel color. The black looks very nice and the faux leather on the collar looks very nice as well. The coat is heavy and appears to be very warm. Definitely recommend!

Ordered this coat in camel ( vicuña) when the Riess coat I really wanted was sold out during the Anniversary Sale. I always order a size larger in Ralph Lauren clothes. I usually wear a 12 in shirt, dresses and slacks; a 14 in coats. Ordered a 16 in this coat. It arrived quickly, and when I bag, I was pleased with the quality and fit of the coat. It’s lightweight..just right for an Atlanta winter. However….the faux leather collar looked cheap and obviously fake. I would never feel comfortable wearing this coat…and there’s no way to remove it without ruining the coat. I’m assuming there’s no wool under the “leather” underneath, and I didn’t want to tear it apart if I’m returning it. So..back it goes. I would have gladly spent another $50 for a real leather collar.

…not true to size unfortunately. Because this was Ralph Lauren I size up from my usual size 10 to a 12, and it just barley fit. It was a little tight across the shoulders and chest, with no room for a sweater or for layering. But I was mostly disappointed by the collar. The faux leather actually sort of stunk and I found the whole thing off putting.

I ordered the camel color, as another reviewer said, the leather collar looks cheap. Not only that, the coat material also looks cheap as well. Nordstrom also packaged it by rolling it up in a small bag instead of putting it on a hanger and folding it nicely into a box like they did for another coat I recently purchased.
